The Lotus Pond

A pocket of beauty, quiet and tranquility....a little lake surrounded by its natural flora and fauna, old and overgrown trees, rustic, pristine. A new discovery (for me), the lotus pond.... and what's best, just a ten minute drive from home.

The lake is so serene. As we stood and watched there was a little breeze that sent gentle and graceful ripples across its surface, and I heard this spontaneous and appreciative intake of breath from Raksha. I so understood....it was like the ripples were entering you and touching every cell of your internal landscape as well. It was lovely.

Raksha and Ayesha.... they are friends from school, who I'd met last Sunday after almost thirty plus years. When the three of us realized we lived in the same area we decided to do this on a whim.

Surface roots....intriguing looking

A little view tower

Ayesha and Raksha walking up the structure

The pond is so full of fish, we saw much bigger fish too...and even turtles

A reflection point that just makes you pause

These little pretty spots are lovely reminders of how wonderful it is to just bask in natures beauty, and how revitalizing it can be. For those interested, this is on road number 86, Banjara Hills.

Raksha and Ayesha, it was a wonderful morning, so so glad we did it. Looking forward to the monthly rendezvous  :)
