The Danger of a Single Story

Such a heartfelt and gracefully delivered Ted Talk. There's so much depth and applicability to what she says.

There's times we can also get stuck with the danger of a single story in personal relationships, with others and even so, with self.

A nice way way to figure there is no real sanctity or virtuosity even to "this is me". If something 'in you' is not working for you, not serving you....... we always have the freedom to change it, why get stuck in that single story.

Our beliefs, our values are not written in stone, thought often times they seem that way, and more often we behave that way. They are likely what we might have just picked up in childhood from our immediate environment or at times even from the most random occurrences.  We always have the option to look, know, chuck what's not working for us. 

It's how self awareness works :)
