A drive through the mountains

Once at Corbett, we realized that the actual safari into the jungles is done through a very structured mechanism. The forest department issues a limited number of permits per day, forty I think, and even that is limited to x number per each of four gates. And all this is also in only 13% of the jungle. Net net, we got a slot only for day 2 of our stay.

That gave us a freedom to figure what to do on day 1. After a leisurely breakfast, we decided to do a drive through the mountains.

Landslides are a common sight

A cute bridge we crossed

The same bridge from a higher elevation

A random halt to soak in the view

Diksha, according to her, looking like an alien

A pretty view

And another

Dhruva, Diksha with Sunil, our cab driver

A chance meet with Bhopal Ram Singh....deserves a post to itself :)
